Log
Exercise, feed, water, droppings, how they were in themselves, weights, and who came out. Tap a choice, or write it in your own words.
Report
What you wrote, over whatever range you choose: oldest to newest, with the weights drawn out and the care visits in their place.
Track
The readings you entered, plotted against the dates you entered them. The line is your numbers and nothing else.
Care
Farrier, dentist, physio, vaccinations, worming: when each was last done, and when the next falls due on the interval you chose for that horse.
Plan
Answer a few questions once: how often your horse works, how many days in a row, when you ride, and HorseDex builds the week around whatever you have already booked.
And that is all
No score, no grade, no verdict. Your notes sit side by side and you are the one who reads them. Diagnosis is your vet's work, not an app's — the Veterinary Surgeons Act 1966 reserves it to them.
There is no laminitis score, no colic checker and no lameness grade, and there is not going to be one.
No email address, no password, no sign-up, nothing to verify.
Your records are written to your own device, and synced through your own iCloud, on by default — off in Settings if you'd rather. Never through a server of ours.
No analytics, no tracking, no advertising and no third-party kits of any kind.
Nothing held back behind a paywall, a subscription or a one-time unlock.

I LOVE how intuitive and flexible HorseDex is. I can choose to track exactly what matters to my mare without cluttering the app with the things I don't need. It lets me set reminders for appointments and share whole entry logs with vets or physio if needed. Seriously, it makes keeping an accurate history so easy!
I've had the privilege to be testing the HorseDex app and I am so impressed! As someone who is extremely forgetful and has two horses, I was constantly forgetting what happened each day with which horse- I now have an app whereby it's easy to track absolutely everything. It's completely solved a real life problem for me. I'm so impressed that I can even use the app on my iPad which syncs with my phone. Highly recommend for any horse owner.
